This product is a semi-transparent coating formulated with a special synthetic resin emulsion and surfactants.
In particular, when used as a primer for maintenance painting, it can be applied thinly over severely chalked surfaces or old coatings to enhance topcoat hiding, adhesion, durability, alkali resistance, and weather resistance, while also preventing efflorescence and reinforcing the strength of concrete and mortar substrates.
In addition, the use of this primer contributes to economical efficiency by reducing the amount of topcoat required.

how to use

Surface treatment: 1. After sufficient curing of the substrate (at least 30 days for new concrete), thoroughly remove dust, dirt, oil, and other contaminants.
2. For maintenance painting, completely remove aged or deteriorated existing coatings using a scraper, wire brush, or disc sander before application.
Coating method: 1. Apply a thin and uniform coat in one direction with a brush or roller according to the specifications above. If necessary, dilute appropriately with tap water to avoid excessive film thickness.
2. When applying with a roller, use a short-nap oil roller.

Handling Precautions

Keep out of reach of infants and children. Do not use on infants’ and children’s goods and food storage containers.

Do not use for purposes other than what is intended. (Do not smell or use as fuel, etc.)

When transporting, storing and handling the product, keep it in a dry, cool and dark place at room temperature (5 ~ 35℃) away from fire and direct sunlight. Be sure to keep the container tightly closed with the injection port facing upward.

As the product may be damaged or injuries may occur during transport and handling, keep the container closed tightly and grab the handle properly when carrying the product. If the contents leak, use sand to absorb the leaked contents.

In case of contact with eyes and skin, flush thoroughly with running water and seek medical attention if a problem occurs.

If inhaled, move to an area with fresh air, and in the event of irregular or poor breathing, seek medical attention immediately.

If ingested, seek medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting and in the case of vomiting, prevent the airway from being blocked. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (GHS-MSDS) upon diagnosis by a specialist.

To prevent environmental pollution, please completely use the contents and dispose of the remaining amount through a waste disposal company designated by the Ministry of Environment. Be careful that the contents do not enter the sewer, river, soil, stream, etc. (Do not paint in rain)

It is recommended to provide sufficient ventilation when coating or drying in enclosed areas.

As headache, dermatitis, etc. may occur upon inhalation of vapor or skin contact, work after wearing the necessary protective gear (mask, protective gloves, protective goggles, etc.) if possible.

Precautions for Coating

Avoid coating on rainy days, at high humidity (85% or higher), at low temperatures (5℃ or lower) and at high temperatures (substrate temperatures of 40℃ or higher) because normal physical properties cannot be exerted (coating film crack, adhesion failure, bubble generation, whitening phenomenon, etc.).

Do not mix this product with other paints.

Apply if no problems arise after test coating in advance upon repair coating on special substrates, preceding coating or old coating.
(Confirmation of adhesion, color spreading, transparency, etc.). Please refer to the technical data sheet upon system coating (undercoating, intermediate coating, top coating).

Completely remove dust, grease, water, rust and other foreign matter from the coating surface during painting, and completely remove the old film and chalking substance on the surface of the substrate during repair coating.

Cover areas where paint should not be applied with masking tape, vinyl, etc.

Stir well to mix the particles evenly before coating and occasionally stir during use. (Be careful of influx of bubbles during stirring)

Upon coating, the prescribed coating procedure and application amount (See the technical data sheet for film thickness) should be followed to achieve the necessary coating performance. Do not coat with an excessive film thickness during one coat.

Upon spraying, paint may be scattered around, causing contamination. Please prevent contamination by covering with vinyl.

This product may become deteriorated during long-term storage (color difference, foreign matter mixing, hardening, etc.). Please use this product as soon as possible within the shelf life (12 months from the date of manufacture). Do not use if the product becomes deteriorated. Please use after making an inquiry to our Customer Service Center.

Upon coating (including touch-up coating), there may be a color difference depending on the dilution ratio, coating equipment, and coating method even for the same product, color, or lot. If possible, apply the product with the same lot No., using the same coating equipment and method. Commence work if there is no problem after checking the color difference.

If the coating surface is new concrete or mortar, apply it after sufficient curing when the pH level is 7~9 (at least 30 days of curing at 20℃), and the water content is 6% or less.

Carry out preceding coating by diluting a proper base treatment agent at a recommended ratio to prevent adhesion failure and decoloration and to adjust the substrate during the winter and for cement plastering or plastering surface chalking substrate, areas with a severe absorption difference, areas with severe cement leaching, and areas with old film in bad condition (especially in areas with high salinity, such as a beach, areas with strong UV rays and areas coated with low-quality paint).

Cut the cracks or crevices in the concrete into a V-shape, fill with putty, and make it smooth.

Upon repetitive coating, the paint should be applied after checking that the surface has been sufficiently dried in order to prevent incomplete curing, sagging and wrinkles on the coating and avoid stain or brush marks. (See the technical data sheet for the recommended film thickness and required time for re-coating).

Since a color difference may be caused in a color with high chroma between coating equipment, apply if no problems arise after checking the color difference. If there is a color difference, work with the same coating equipment.

Upon coating, a color difference may occur due to a clumsy direction change or at the joint of the interface. Continuously apply in the same direction.

When using a brush or roller, corners should be coated first with a brush or small roller, and it is convenient to use a roller or spray for large areas.

If dilution is required, dilute with tap water within the dilution ratio recommended on the data sheet. Please avoid excessive dilution since it may cause sagging, splashing, color difference, and hiding failure as well as affect the workability and general physical properties. Use of unpurified water (such as hard water) or contaminated water may cause agglomeration of the paint

In case of coloring, please add the coloring agent while stirring the paint or mix immediately after adding the coloring agent. Use the colored paint after checking if the color of the dry film matches the reference color.

1. Physical risk

The most critical physical hazard is paint containing organic solvents.
Other additives may also pose as a physical risk factor.
If high-density organic solvent vapors are inhaled during handling of the paint or carrying out coating, it may cause a person to become unconscious due to anesthetic effects.
Some ingredients in paint may cause toxic effects if the skin is exposed to them for a long period of time.
Continuous skin contact causes skin diseases, and some solvents are absorbed through the skin by an amount considered to be harmful.
If swallowed, it induces vomiting and abdominal pain.
Following the safety regulations listed below can significantly reduce physical hazards.

1) Wear a proper mask or ventilator. Inhalation of toxic vapors causes lung disease. A mechanical filtration ventilator blocks solid particles, but it becomes quickly clogged and unsafe.
Volatile solvent vapors are not filtered by the mechanical ventilator.

2) Proper ventilation, lighting and blasting equipment should be prepared. Proper ventilation can prevent fire, explosion and physical hazards.

3) Hands and body should be shielded from contact with the paint. If a volatile solvent comes in contact with the body, wash the area with a neutral detergent.
When the skin comes into contact with the outside, it may become dried and cracked. When handling toxic chemicals or acids, the face and eyes should be protected by protective goggles, and rubber gloves and aprons should be worn. Protective creams and lotions should be used on the hands, arms and face.

2. Fire risk

Most paints contain flammable liquids, and there is a risk of fire. Flammability should be indicated on the product label.
Ignition of flammable substances is caused by contact with cigarettes, excessive engine combustion, flames, preheating equipment, electric discharge, and unprotected electrical equipment.

1) For oil mops, if the safety regulations are followed, the risk of fire can be significantly reduced.

2) Painting rooms and dust chambers should be thoroughly cleaned. The frequent causes of fire in the painting room are paint steam and excessive coating.
Highly volatile solvents should not be used to clean the painting room.

3) Exposed flames or electrical sparks should be avoided. All motors and electrical appliances should be kept in the best condition at all times.
It is recommended to prohibit smoking and, if necessary, designate a place to smoke.
Spark-free instruments should be used.

4) All finishing materials should be sealed with solvents. The film of the paint should not be formed in an open can, and air pollution by the steam that may cause physical hazards or fire should be prevented. When storing a highly volatile solution, an approved container should be used, which is mechanically sealed to prevent evaporation of the solvent.

5) Fire fighting equipment should be placed because there are no other measures for fire extinguishment in case of fire . Fixed automatic fire extinguishers should be installed in the storage room. Further, suffocation agents such as carbon dioxide, foam, and dry chemicals should be added to the extinguishing system. The finishing department should possess sufficient fire extinguishers.
There are three types of fire:
Class A fires are wood, textiles, paper and rubber fires. Class B fires are flammable liquid, oil and grease fires. Class C fires are electrical fires. The most typical fire extinguishing agents for electrical fires include soda acid, foam type, carbon tetrachloride type, carbon dioxide type and dry chemicals.
All kinds of fire extinguishing agents, including water, can be used for Class A fires. Carbon dioxide and dry chemicals are effective for Class B and C fires.
Carbon tetrachloride is also used, but less effective for Class B and C fires.
This is because of the generation of toxic gases. It is not used in a confined space. Water fire extinguishers with soda acid and foam type are not used for electrical fires.
The inspection after fire extinguishment is important to prevent recurrence of fires.
All workers should be trained on how to operate the fire fighting equipment. Fire fighting drills should be organized for systematic fire fighting.

3. Ventilation

In a confined space, air should be supplied to maintain the proper drying of the coating and solvent evaporation below the explosion limit.
This air is supplied from the bottom of the tank.
The recommended air flow rate for ventilation is as follows.
