Heavy Duty Coating
DHDC-6000MIO Epoxy MIO Paint, silver gray
- usage
- Intermediate and top coat after primer application on steel structures
Since EVACOAT MIO is a paint made by using micaceous iron oxide (MIO) pigment based on epoxy polyamide resin, dry film has excellent adhesion, durability, abrasion resistance and water resistance. This paint is an intermediate coating that maximizes the anti-corrosive effect by being coated on a zinc rich primer and epoxy primer. It is a paint excellent in interlayer adhesion even if subsequent painting is extended.

PRODUCT PROPERTIES (PHYSICAL PROPERTY DATA)
- MIO Paint
- Two-component type epoxy MIO intermediate coating with iron oxide pigment of mica for corrosion resistance.
- Excellent film property
- Adherence, corrosion resistance, durability, abrasion and water resistance.
how to use
- Surface treatment
- 1. Remove oil, moisture, sand, dust, and other foreign substances completely from the surface
2. Dry the surface sufficiently before painting.
3. After the primer painting, clean the welded parts or edges with a disk sander, etc. and then paint it after
touching up according to the painting order. - Coating method
- 1. A brush, roller, or airless spray available for painting (airless spray recommended).
2. In airless spray painting:
- Tip diameter: 0.021” - 0.025"
- Spraying pressure: 3000 P.S.I or more (210 ㎏/㎠)
- The used painting instrument must be cleaned with a dedicated diluent immediately after use. - Preceding and follow-up coating
- 1. 1 coat : epoxy primer, inorganic zinc, and epoxy zinc paints
- A mist coat is required when coating over inorganic zinc paint.
2. 2 coats: Epoxy, urethane, and fluoroplastic paints - Remarks
- 1. To achieve sufficient performance after the last painting, the paint should be dried at 20℃ for 7 days.
2. For coating areas exposed to the outside, yellowing and chalking may occur in a short period of time
due to the effect of sunlight.
